I’ve always been a traveller and an adventurer.
Always thinking: where next? what’s next?
Even now, with kids, the travel is still there… just a little less wild and a little more organised.
But every winter, my mind starts drifting again. Somewhere warmer. Somewhere new. Somewhere with waves.
These shots are from Punta Lobos, around 2010. Most days we were waiting for the swell to drop or clean up — it was raw, heavy and wild. A lot of the time it was just Tiff @tiffany.riggs.nextwave and I out there.
The trip ended in a pretty unforgettable way: a decent earthquake in the middle of the night while we were staying right on the beach. Knowing that tsunamis had hit that coastline before made it feel very real, very fast.
Travel, surf, adventure… sometimes it gives you the best waves, sometimes it gives you a reminder of how small we are.
Still chasing that feeling.
Still thinking about the next one.

But most of the time, that’s not the problem.
If a board doesn’t work for you, it’s probably just not the right board for you — or not the right board for you right now.
