"Standing sideways, riding forwards' ~ Biomechanics of Surfing. Five components in biomechanics of surfing are motion, force, momentum, levers and balance: Motion - bodies motion from lying to stance. Force - the weight in which directional change is applied when engaging the rail for turning. Momentum - turning in the right part of the wave to make sections. Levers - loading up for body rotation utilising our arms and legs. Balance - style of riding the wave. Biomechanics of surfing performed standing sideways riding forward, over time can lead to imbalances in right to left range of movement and one side dominant strength patterns, these classes have been developed to address those imbalances! Dhali has 23 Years Teaching experience and completed a 10,000 hours apprenticeship. He is also an avid surfer and snowboarder! Please bring your own mat and water. Enjoy!
